Recording, Mixing, Mastering, Lessons - creative services

Welcome to Sisterly Silence Studios! Offering high quality, affordable recording and audio services in NE Portland. Great gear, lots of experience, comfortable space, affordable rates.

Here's a bunch of audio examples from bands and artists I've worked with: www.sisterlysilencestudios.com/audio

And my gear list: www.sisterlysilencestudios.com/gear

I've worked on everything from indie rock to punk to folk to rockabilly to musique concrète to country to instrumental guitar music to shoegaze to delicate singer-songwriter material to heavy metal, audiobooks, interview editing and cleanup, voiceovers, whatever!

I also love working with solo musicians and singer-songwriters to develop their songs into a fuller band sound. I play a handful of instruments and also know a ton of very skilled musicians and am always happy to find specific players to enhance your project.

And LESSONS - I offer intermediate and advanced level lessons in Pro Tools and Logic Pro X and beginning level lessons in most other DAW's as well as more general studio and recording techniques, mixing, mastering, studio/software set-up help, etc. I have a background in teaching children and have worked with students ages 5-80. All levels welcomed.

A bit about myself:

I studied audio engineering and computer music programming at UC San Diego and have a Master's in Fine Arts from Mills College in Electronic Music and Recording Media.

My rate is $50/hr, two hour minimum. 8 hour day rate is $350. Lesson rate is $60/hr.
